Ashley Wilburn, a native of Hagerstown, Maryland, proudly comes from North Hagerstown High School, where she completed her secondary education. Ashley Wilburn's legal practice is focused on family law. She has a passion for it. She concentrates a large portion of her work on divorce cases, alimony disputes property distribution in marital relationships child custody battles child support arrangements, postnuptial and prenuptial agreements, post-divorce enforcement and issues as well as step-parent and private party adoptions and concerns regarding child welfare. Ashley has served as a mediator appointed by the court since 2019, assisting parties in helping them resolve their disputes without the need for litigation and court involvement. In addition to mediations that are court-appointed, Ashley also mediates in private cases for people who would prefer to avoid the court process and litigation.

Ashley completed her undergraduate studies in History and Politics at Loyola University of Maryland. She continued her legal education through Western New England University School of Law. She graduated in 2013 and was ranked among the top 10 students of her class. Ashley was a Note Editor at the Western New England Law Review during her time in law school. This demonstrated her commitment to scholarship and legal research.

Ashley began her clerkship career after she completed her law degree. She worked for renowned jurists from Connecticut and Maryland. She was privileged to serve as a law assistant for the Honorable Richard A. Robinson at the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Honorable Elliott D. Prescott. In 2014, she returned home to Hagerstown Maryland to work as a law clerk for the Honorable M. Kenneth Long, Washington County Circuit Court. Ashley joined Poole & Kane P.A. in 2015 as an associate attorney. as an associate attorney. The primary role she played at the firm involved representing the Washington County Department of Social Services in cases involving child welfare. Through her dedication, Ashley played a vital role in helping children who were victims of neglect or abuse at the from their parents or caregivers. Her commitment to social justice extended beyond the legal realm and she was active as an executive member of the Washington County Human Trafficking Task Force, working diligently to raise awareness about human trafficking in the tri-state area.

In 2017, she was a founding member of Kane, Wilburn & Stone, P.A., where she developed her practice in the area of family law including divorce, custody, child support and guardianships - as well as estate planning, wills, trusts and powers of attorney, advance directive/healthcare proxies - and mediation.

Ashley founded Wilburn Law Office, LLC 2023, with the intention of providing an individual approach to every client's need.
